Cityscapes

I have always lived in the city and been fascinated by the brutalist beauty that can be found within an urban environment. Many of cityscapes are inspired by futuristic movies and comics/animations showing large towering buildings covered in neon lights. Along with those more zoomed out paintings I like to explore the structures and shapes of buildings, especially those which have been left to ruin. My paintings of cityscapes and urban realities fall somewhere between a social commentary on the things I see before me as well as a look at the potential futures that await.
